If you are interested in setting up a blog there are a number of hosted blog solutions that provide you with plenty of features and user friendly interfaces. In this article I will focus on the hosted solution that is Blogger.com.
Blogger.com was one of the first blog hosting providers on the web. It originally stated in the heady days of the internet boom in the late nineties. In 2002 it was bought by Google which guarantees that blogger has solid backup. Blogger has many great features although not as many as certain other solutions. However, its main benefit is it simplicity, it is very simple and intuitive to use. Since taken over by Google Blogger has continued to develop and innovate. Below are some of the benefits and features of using the Blogger solution.

• Using it will not cost you a dime because it is absolutely free. Therefore, if your strapped for cash this is a good blogging solution to start off with.

• There are a variety of design features that you can use to give your blog its own unique look.

• Your readers can leave comments and interact with you. This is essential as being interactive is one of the main strengths of blogging.

• Blogger can be utilised by more than one author and you have the facilities to up load photos, images, audio files, and post emails

• You can gain easy access to your blog by enabling a button on your browser.

• You have your very own unique website address

Setting up a blogger blog is a quick and simple process. These are the following steps you need to take:

Go to Blogger.com

Click on the Create Your Blog Now arrow

Read the terms of service agreement and fill out the required information that is requested by the instructions. You will need to create your own unique username.

Choose a name for your blog. Choose one that is memorable and is related to the information that you will be publishing about. Type in the name and press continue.

You have the option of choosing the default template design or you can choose a template from one of the other options. If you have any HTML skills then you can amend the source code to create a custom design.

Click the Start Posting button.

That’s it. All you need to do now is write up your post and begin posting away.

First you have to upload the gif or vid. clip to a file hosting site. Once there you can get the HTML code to be able to embed it to your Blog entry. Copy/Paste the code to the body of your Blog entry and put a check in the “View HTML Sources” box to the right of the toolbar.
